In 2002, I defended my doctoral thesis earning a joint Ph.D degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from U. Reims, France. After two post-doc, I have obtained a lecturer position in cell biology at MEDyC CNRS unit. In this position, I have studied the cell/extracellular matrix interactions involved in the modulation of tumor progression. In this context, I focused on the role of remodeling of the extracellular matrix by proteolytic enzymes (MMPs) and their inhibitors (TIMPs) and MMPs endocytosis mediated by LRP-1. This matrix remodeling is a critical mechanism when cancer cells invade the normal tissues around the tumor. By the way, I use different preclinical modalities to determine the effect of LRP-1 on cancer progression in vivo (DCE-MRI).
